The new president of ICE (Italian Institute for the Foreign Commerce) revealed in an interview released to Il Sole 24 Ore that ICE will foster the use of #blockchain to trace and protect the #madeinitaly products.
He explained that the traceability of products serves the purpose of protection of the Italian brand, indication of origin (#DOCG, #DOC, #DOP, #IGP), the fight against counterfeiting and against the so called “Italian sounding”, which are of interest for many industries, e.g., fashion and food industries.
The use of blockchain can ensure the availability of certified information which would be available online and reachable just scanning a label. See more here in Italian.
